ITHACA, N.Y. -- The top-ranked Bombers (12-3) posted victories over sixth-ranked Cortland and Rhode Island College to remain undefeated against Division III competition.
Junior
Kelly Stevison (Osbourn Park/Manassas, Va.) won the floor exercise and finished second in the all-around competition and third on both the vault and balance beam.
Stevison entered the meet ranked in the top 10 in three events: all-around (sixth), floor exercise (sixth) and vault (eighth).
Freshman
Francis Ente (Fairfield Warde/Fairfield, Conn.), junior
Chelsie Veilleux (Nashua/Nashua, N.H.) and freshman
Roxanne Deshaies (Biddeford/Biddeford, Maine) finished first, second and third, respectively, on the uneven bars. Each of three gymnasts entered the meet ranked in the top 20 in Division III on the bars.
Ente is ranked fourth,
Veilleux is ranked 14th and
Deshaies is ranked 20th.
Sophomore
Jessica Oddo (Red Bank Catholic/Freehold, N.J.) won the balance beam competition while freshman
Valerie Ierley (Forest Park/Dumfries, Va.) finished second. Senior
Krystal Kaminski (Churchville-Chile/Rochester) finished second in the floor exercise, setting the program’s fifth-highest mark.
The Bombers will try to defend their ECAC title at the ECAC Championships on Saturday, March 11. Ithaca has placed in the top three at the ECAC meet every year since 1984, winning 13 titles in that time.
